Cannabis Crystals Contain THC
If your cannabis isn’t covered in trichomes (“trichs”) then it may not be top quality.

Good cannabis crystals and a quality product are easy to produce with a little knowledge and a lot of work.Make sure your caregiver is giving you the best. It’s usually easy to tell good cannabis by the color and smell.
Likewise, bad weed is usually easy to detect. Brown colors, sour smells, too many leaves are just a few of the signs you might not have a quality product. You may even see cannabis crystals, but if the smell is off or it’s brown, the weed may not be good quality.

Although every part of the marijuana plant – from the iconic leaves and stems to the flower and even the roots – contain THC, the trichs or cannabis crystals that cover the flowers contain 90% of the THC in the plant. However, not all plants are equal. Having crystals doesn’t make a plant great. Some plants may have crystals and won’t get you high. The amount of THC can vary from plant to plant and strain to strain.
If a caregiver or grower says they have a strain called “Superchronicotilite”, they have probably conjured a cool name out of thin air, just to be different from other growers. It may be the same thing you smoked last week or yesterday. They just gave it a new name to move the product. Be cautious when buying cannabis.
First, find someone you can trust and do a little research on your caregiver. Then here are a few things to look for in your medicine.
Look for lots of cannabis crystals. The more the better. If you can look at your weed closely and see lots of crystals in it, it’s a safe bet that you are going to be pretty high soon.
Shouldn’t be too dry. Good weed is not going to be dry or feel like it’s been sitting out in the sun for too long. If there is no stickiness or it just crumbles as you break it up, that is probably not a good sign.
Sticks and seeds are never a good sign. A few here and there are to be expected but if you have an excessive amount of sticks and seeds, that is a PROBLEM.
It should be green. Certain other colors are acceptable too but mainly it should be green. You can also find good weed they has hints of purple, orange or red and you can usually bet that it is going to be pretty good. Brown weed is NOT an acceptable color, even if you see cannabis crystals.
The smell is a key to figuring out quality. Dank weed smells just like the word says, dank. Sometimes it will be so strong that you can smell it through the bag.
Those little hairs on the end of your weed are like gold. If there are a lot of them then that is gonna be some great weed.
Is it sticky when you break it up? There is a reason why rappers always brag about having that “sticky icky icky.”
Avoid bullshit dealers. I can’t emphasize how important it is to have dealers you can trust. If you have a guy that consistently has good stuff, hold on to him as long as you possibly can.
Know the difference between good and bad by researching your product and your caregiver.
